Bespoke pantry in Chislehurst: a pantry with room for everything
The brief
A walk-in pantry with enough storage for food, equipment and appliances, so the kitchen stays clear.
Designing a bespoke pantry
Teal slab cupboards and drawers line two walls, with tall teal doors at the entrance. Above the oak worktop, L-shaped oak shelves hold jars and bowls.
LED strips light the shelves, and brass cup pulls and recessed handles are used on the doors and drawers.
The fronts are Egger PerfectSense Stone Green, paired with Egger Vicenza Oak shelving and carcasses for a warm, practical pantry.

Oak is hard-wearing and naturally warm. It ages well and balances painted or white surfaces.
Brass hardware adds a warm, classic accent. Unlacquered brass slowly develops a soft patina, while brushed brass stays even.
A strong paint colour gives a room real character. Because every piece is made to order, you can choose any colour to suit the light in your room.
Why choose bespoke walk-in pantries?
A bespoke pantry keeps food and small appliances in one organised place. That frees up the worktops in your main kitchen. Every shelf is planned around what you store, so nothing gets lost at the back.
Made in our South East London workshop
Every piece was designed, made and finished in our own workshop in South East London. We cut each part on our CNC machine for accuracy, then assemble and finish it by hand.
Before production starts, you see the design as a 3D render. You also speak directly with the people making your joinery.

Questions about this walk-in pantry in Chislehurst
Do you make bespoke walk-in pantries in Chislehurst?
Yes. This project was designed, made and fitted for a home in Chislehurst, and we regularly travel from our South East London workshop to work across Chislehurst and nearby areas such as Bickley, Bromley, Petts Wood and Sidcup. Every piece is made to measure for the room it goes into. We also work throughout London and across the whole of the UK, so wherever you are, we would be happy to talk about your project.
What is the best way to organise a walk-in pantry?
Deep cupboards and drawers below for heavy items, open shelves above for jars and everyday ingredients, and a worktop in between for appliances. Lighting the shelves makes everything easy to find.
Which worktop is best for a pantry?
Oak is a warm, durable choice that can be oiled and refreshed over time. Quartz is another option if the pantry will be used heavily for food preparation.
How long does a bespoke pantry take?
It depends on what stage your home is at. If everything is ready, design to fitting usually takes around 1 to 2 months, and sometimes we can have it made and fitted in the same month you first come to us. Once we know more about your project, we will talk the dates through with you and agree them together.
Can a pantry be added to an existing kitchen?
Often, yes. A small room, cupboard or alcove next to the kitchen can be fitted out as a pantry, with joinery made to match or complement the main kitchen.
Client tips: planning a bespoke pantry in Chislehurst

- Light the shelves. Good lighting makes everything easy to find.
- Add a worktop. A small worktop gives space for a coffee machine or toaster.
