Traditional Arched Wardrobe in Blush, Notting Hill
This bespoke fitted wardrobe in Notting Hill brings soft curves and colour to the bedroom. Three blush-painted doors, each with an arched panel and a long brass handle, are topped with fluted detailing that runs up to the ceiling. Every piece was designed, made and fitted by Creative Spaces in our own South East London workshop.
Beside the wardrobe, a brass-lined arched niche holds a mirror above a chest of drawers, creating a dressing area that feels made for the room.

Fitted wardrobe in Notting Hill: soft curves and brass details
The brief
A wardrobe with personality: plenty of storage, a dressing area, and a colour and shape that make the bedroom feel special.
Designing a fitted wardrobe
Arched door panels and a matching arched niche give the run a gentle rhythm, while fluted panels along the top and plinth add texture without fuss.
Inside, pale wood-finish interiors hold brass hanging rails, shelves, drawers and open shoe storage. Long brass handles and the brass-lined niche finish the look.
Materials and finishes
- Fronts: Arched shaker, painted MDF
- Colour: Farrow & Ball No. 230 Calamine
- Carcass: Egger Light Natural Casella Oak
- Handles: Long brass handles
- Drawer runners: Grass
- Hinges: Blum
Painted joinery is usually made from MDF. It stays flat and stable, so the paint goes on smooth and the edges stay sharp. The colour can be matched to the rest of the room.
Fluted fronts have fine vertical grooves. They add texture without extra decoration, and they catch the light beautifully.
Brass hardware adds a warm, classic accent. Unlacquered brass slowly develops a soft patina, while brushed brass stays even.
Why choose bespoke fitted wardrobes?
Made-to-measure wardrobes use the full height and width of the wall. You get far more storage than with freestanding furniture. The inside is planned around your clothes, with the right mix of hanging, shelves and drawers.
Made in our South East London workshop
Every piece was designed, made and finished in our own workshop in South East London. We cut each part on our CNC machine for accuracy, then assemble and finish it by hand.
Before production starts, you see the design as a 3D render. You also speak directly with the people making your joinery.

Questions about this fitted wardrobe in Notting Hill
Do you make bespoke fitted wardrobes in Notting Hill?
Yes. This project was designed, made and fitted for a home in Notting Hill, and we regularly travel from our South East London workshop to work across Notting Hill and nearby areas such as Holland Park, Kensington and Bayswater. Every piece is made to measure for the room it goes into. We also work throughout London and across the whole of the UK, so wherever you are, we would be happy to talk about your project.
How long do fitted wardrobes take to make and install?
It depends on what stage your home is at. If everything is ready, design to fitting usually takes around 1 to 2 months, and sometimes we can have it made and fitted in the same month you first come to us. Once we know more about your project, we will talk the dates through with you and agree them together.
Can fitted wardrobes be built around sloping ceilings and alcoves?
Yes. Because each wardrobe is made to measure, we can follow sloping ceilings, fill alcoves and work around windows, radiators and doors so that no space is wasted.
What is the best material for wardrobe interiors?
Wardrobe interiors need to be stable and hard-wearing. Melamine-faced board (such as Egger MFC) is a popular, easy-clean choice, while a timber or timber-effect finish like walnut or oak adds warmth when the doors are open.
Can you add lighting inside wardrobes?
Yes. LED strips can be built into the sides or shelves and set to switch on when the doors open, which makes it much easier to find clothes and gives the interior a high-end feel.
